Yukito (雪兎) is the high priest of the Clow Kingdom and close friend of King Tôya and Princess Sakura ; he is a crossover character from Cardcaptor Sakura.

Description[]

Yukito in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, is the High Priest of Clow and confidant of Touya, he used his magic to send Syaoran and Sakura with Yuuko in the start of the story. He was raised in the palace alongside Touya and Sakura, and he maintains a deep relationship with King Touya.

Yukito and Touya

He possesses the ability to send others across dimensions and also the ability to see the future and spirits of the dead. The magic circle he uses to send Syaoran and Sakura to Yūko Ichihara is almost identical to the one used by Clow Reed in Cardcaptor Sakura.

Possesor of the Moon power just like in CCS, he knows in part the future that awaits Syaoran and Sakura, since they both possess a strange power that "can change dimensions".

There are more "Yukito" versions in the different worlds visited. They are always accompanied by his sidekick, Touya, just like in Cardcaptor Sakura.

History[]

Alternate Timeline[]

Yukito is the High Priest of Clow. Yukito was raised in the palace with Touya, and the two of them are at the least, best friends. Despite this familiarity, Yukito still uses titles and a formal tone of voice when talking to Touya, a fact that annoys King Touya greatly.

Yukito cares for Sakura, and knows that there is a connection between the princess and Syaoran. He is constantly cajoling Touya to be less harsh on the boy, who Touya refers to as a "brat".

When Sakura's memories were lost at the ruins outside Clow, Yukito admitted that even his powers were not enough to help her, and instead sent them to Yūko, whose resources were greater than his own.

While the two kids are gone, Yukito mostly worries after King Touya, who has not recovered from wounds incurred in Chapter 1.

Original Timeline[]

Yukito also met the "Original Syaoran" at age 7. He was revealed to be a dreamseer, already predicting their meeting. He's also said to have a great magical power, though not as strong as Princess Sakura's.

Yukito tells "Syaoran" that he's got a great power within him, and the purity of heart.

In Chapter 188 of the manga, it is revealed that Princess Sakura was a candidate to succeed the current priest, which was implied to have been Yukito, until it was revealed that Queen Nadeshiko was the priest of Clow Country.

His future, in the time-space "twist" following "Syaoran"'s wish was not changed however, due to the fact that he didn't know about the Seal of Death engraved in Sakura.

Epilogue[]

Yukito appears once more in Clow Castle, alongside Toya. He's somewhat surprised that Toya is not complaining that Sakura's going out.

At last he's seen saying goodbye to Syaoran's party.
