Fūma is a crossover character from CLAMP's X.
In X, Fuma was destined to convert to Kamui's opposite band, since he was the twin star of the chosen one, so it'd be his role to fill in the hole left by Kamui. Kamui decided to protect him and Kotori (Fuma's sister) and eventually became a Dragon of Heaven (天の竜, Ten no Ryuu) which is why Fuma would later turn onto destroying Tokyo and the world, starting by killing his own sister. He's a cruel and sadistic character with a great resemblance to Seishirou (which is probably why CLAMP decided to pair them up as brothers in Tsubasa RC). With all this, in Tsubasa, Fūma is a bit different from his old self. He's actually more "funny" rather than evil in the series.
Fūma in Tsubasa ~RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE~ is Seishirō's younger brother, who is also a treasure hunter and apparent leader of the people of the Tower.
History[]
Fuma is first introduced in the Toyko Arc. He arrived in Tokyo four years earlier along with a feather of Sakura's. His role is, aside from annoying Kamui, to be the leader of the Tower people (the people who were refugees inside the Tokyo Tower, one of the two last places in Tokyo left with water). Both the Tower and the Government Building parties have battles over the water, though Kamui (the Government Building's leader) seems to be protecting the water for another reason.
Once Fai is turned into a vampire, Fūma returns to the Government Building. This is because the water in the Tower is running out, and since the two feathers protecting the Government Building have disappeared, he proposes to join the two bands. Then he reveals one of Sakura's feathers that he had in his possession, inside a strange jar that not even Mokona could detect. Thus he offers their feather so that everyone would go and live in the Government Building. But Kamui seems indifferent to this decision since he's planning to leave as soon as possible.
Later on, Fuma reveals that he's also able to travel through dimensions since he's a hunter (not a vampire hunter, more like a treasure hunter). Like his brother, he obtained this power from Yuko, and as a price he must retrieve the items she asks for. One of these items is the jar that's containing the feather, also the compass he loaned Sakura in Tokyo, after she broke it Fūma reveals that Yūko is his employer and said that is was all right for her to break it.
Fūma later appeared in the Nihon Country to give Kurogane a robotic arm. He then stayed to witness the battle between his brother and Syaoran. Afterwards, he teased his brother about his strange actions.
